How to Configure your Email Program

If you experience any difficulty sending or receiving email, please review this message for troubleshooting tips and to update your mail program settings.

Use these settings in your Outlook program or jump to IMAP: - revised 02/16/15

Tools > Accounts > Modify

My incoming mail server is a POP3 server

Incoming mail (POP3): yourdomain.com
Outgoing mail (SMTP): yourdomain.com or mail.yourdomain.com

Incoming Mail Server

Account Name: Your full email address
Incoming mail (POP3) Port: 110
This server does not require a secure connection.
NOTE: Port 995 is available as SSL.

Outgoing Mail Server

Do not select 'Log on using Secure Password Authentication'
Select 'My server requires authentication'
Select the 'Settings...' button or Advanced Settings Logon Information
Select 'Use same settings as my incoming mail server'

Advanced Settings

Outgoing mail (SMTP) Port: 587
This server does not require a secure connection.

Delivery

Select 'Leave a copy of messages on server.'
Remove after xxx days (choose number of days)

NOTE: This setting is advised if you have more than one device checking email. This flag should be set on your POP3 account, however, your smartphone should use IMAP settings (see below). Please contact us for further help, if needed.

How to Setup IMAP - revised 02/16/15

Incoming Mail Server:
Host Name: You can use either yourdomain.com -or- mail.yourdomain.com
Username: full email addy
Password: ******

Advanced:
Mailbox Behaviors:
Sent Mailbox: Sent (Inbox->Sent)
Deleted Messages:
Remove: After One Week
Incoming Settings:
Use SSL: Off
Authentication: Password
IMAP Prefix:
Server Port: 143 incoming for non-SSL.
To Use SSL: SSL=On, port 993 incoming SSL

Outgoing Mail Server:
Hostname: You can use either yourdomain.com -or- mail.yourdomain.com
Username: full email addy
Password: ******
Use SSL: Off
Authentication: Password
Server Port: 587 or 995 for non-SSL.
To Use SSL: SSL=On, port 465 outgoing SSL

NOTE: Needs regular authentication, no encryption, so SSL off

How to Access Web Mail - revised 01/16/13

This method allows you to *access your email through a web browser.

Open Web Mail through the browser: http://www.mydomain.com/webmail
The main mail window opens.
In the Email field, enter the user name portion of your email address.
The domain name portion of your email address displays automatically.
For example, if your entire email address is joe@mydomain.com,
then type only joe.

Note: If the displayed domain name is not correct, overwrite the displayed name and enter your entire email address.

In the Password field, enter your password.
Click Login.
The Inbox window opens displaying all of your existing email messages.
